Colossians 3:15-17
Introduction
● The Challenge: Colossians 3:14-”And over all these virtues put on love,
which binds them all together in perfect unity.”
● Love and Unity go “hand-in-hand” without Love there is NO UNITY.
● We have discussed 8 distinct qualities that bring UNITY within the Church.
○ Love: Give of Yourself like Jesus Gives. Application: Be like Christ.
○ Compassion: To feel like Jesus feels. Application: Be Sensitive.
○ Kindness: Treat Others like Jesus treats us. Application: Be Nice.
○ Humility: We need to see Ourselves and Others as God sees Us.
Application: Be Humble
○ Gentleness: (The idea Strength Under Control) Surrender to Christ
so You can Serve like Christ. Application: Be Trainable.
○ Patience: Act Like Christ. Application: Be Patient
○ Acceptance: Put up with others just like Jesus Puts Up with Us.
Application: Be Understanding
○ Forgiveness: Give Grace just like Jesus Gives Grace to You.
Application: Be Gracious
