Unity Part 5
Colossians 3:14-16
● We are one week away from finishing our series of messages on the
importance of love and unity in the Church. What we discovered wa that
Paul offered a powerful challenge in Colossians 3:14-”And over all these
virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
● Love and Unity go “hand-in-hand” without Love there is NO UNITY.
● So far we have looked at 8 distinct qualities that can bring UNITY within the
Church.
○ Love: Give of Yourself like Jesus Gives. Application: Be like Christ.
○ Compassion: To Feel like Jesus feels. Application: We need to be
Sensitive.
○ Kindness: Treat Others like Jesus treats us. Application: Be Nice
○ Humility: We need to see Ourselves and Others as God Sees Us.
Application: Be Humble
○ Gentleness: (The idea Strength Under Control) Surrender to Christ
so You can Serve like Christ. Application: Be Trainable.
○ Patience: Act Like Christ. Application: Be Patient
○ Acceptance: Put up with others just like Jesus Puts Up with Us.
